Sheri & Gene CANCUN Trip! Feb/March 2012

Gene & I were BLESSED with another opportunity to go on a trip to Cancun ALONE...all thanks to Aunt Natalie!! She flew in on a Tuesday afternoon and we flew out on a Wednesday morning, so we got to have a birthday celebration for her Tuesday night...because her birthday was on Monday! Gene made coconut shrimp, asparagus, potatoes AND cheesecake!

The kids had so much fun w/ Aunt Natalie...its been 6 days since she left and they are still talking about Aunt Natalie or showing me the new skilz they learned from Aunt Natalie...I wish I had the time to video it...Aunt Natalie would love to hear it! EVERYONE should have an Aunt Natalie we've decided! THANKS Sis!!!

CANCUN!!

Gene & I decided to try a new resort in Cancun called The Live Aqua. Kind of a funny name, but it was REALLY amazing. This time we got massages from the spa...my first ever professional massage! And it was GREAT...BUT I have to say Gene gives the best massage I've EVER had. The food was amazing too. But the alone time and the quiet time in a place that really is nothing but beauty (the carribean) all around is what does it for me...really energizes me and gives me a kind of renewal. And I can't forget to mention how amazingly wonderful the fresh guacamole is...I ate and ate and ate.

Really...words just don't quite do it for expressing what this trip does for me. I'm so grateful there is such beauty in the world though...and such love from a sister and Aunt Natalie to make it happen....

Audrey turns 12! Feb 20th 2012

Can you tell we've had a busy February?? Just wait...I have one more trip to blog about. So, we came back from Orlando and a few days later Audrey has a Birthday Party at Skate Town USA. More FUN, FUN, FUN!

Family Vacation to Orlando, Fl Feb 2012

So, last Fall Gene & I decided it would be fun to take a break from the Ohio Winter as a family in the New Year. Orlando,Florida ended up being our destination and we planned for February. There is so much to do in Orlando, but the kids, ALL OF THEM, really wanted to go to Harry Potter World at Universal Studios. And no one was really excited about Disney world, so we went to Universal Studios and Sea World. AND we had SO. MUCH. FUN!
The weather was GORGEOUS our entire trip and our condo was large & spacious & so clean!

So, here goes...the following are pics from Sea World and I've included probably more than the average person would want to see, but the Ahlborn children want them all for the memories! :)

Our home away from home. We loved it...there was an awesome heated pool, lovely hot tub and a huge deck over looking a small lake, complete with lily pads and frogs!
